I think it's simple. A good product sells itself. I know a lot of women will knee-jerk get mad at this question. But I have zero problem approaching women. But I'm sorry just being a woman isn't enough. There are 3.5 billion of you on this planet. If she gives me a legitimate reason to I'll approach her. Honestly I'll chat up a lot of women and walk away just as walked up when they aren't carrying there end.

Well said. Although I'd argue outside elements could also affect this, such as fear of being dragged through divorce/family courts, false accusations etc... but I get what you're saying and agree.

Well if you've been in many failed relationships with women where she's tore your world apart and left you in fi ancillary ruin I could understand a guy not wanting to climb aboard the "S. S. Crazy" again 🤣. A d there are certainly a significant amount of those women out there. But I was writing this response from the assumption we were just talking about approaches and talking for the first time. I do think it's IMPERATIVE that any guy take his time and really vet a woman these days. NEVER let a woman dictate the tempo of the relationship. If she not willing to wait until you're read to move forward then cut her loose, that's what I say. Better some other guy step on the landmine then you.

Both gender had failed at it and each one is playing the blame game instead of taking responsibility of their own mistake... Both gender have made mistakes and instead of correcting it... What we do is passing the blame on the other...

    Choice is yours anyway.

That might be true to an extent, but only one gender holds most of the power in dating and courtships, and it sure as hell ain't men. So does that mean both genders hold *equal* responsibility, or does the one gender with most of the power in dating and courtships, hold *more* responsibility?

All I know is, I just want a decent partner, and don't want to have to be a simp, spineless cuckold, or weak effeminate male, in order to "impress" any women out there, to meet that criteria. I don't think asking to keep my dignity in-tact and be true to who I am, is too "unreasonable," even if the modern dating pool implies it is.

Yeah that just made things less competitive for other men it seems.

I'm ok with guys wanting nothing to do with women and just saying they're going to focus on other things. But do they? Or do they turn around and just talk non stop shit and complain and bitch about how women are awful and terrible and should be in the kitchen only and are second class citizens. Like I'm ok and actually supportive of men who actually want to go their own way but they don't go their own way most of the time. They just still talk about women. They still obsess over women. That's not going your own way by any definition at all. If you go your on way and don't want anything to do with women then don't obsess over women and talk about women and get angry with women. No need, you've gone your own way.

That's where I see a lot of these 45 percent of men going. Basically online to bitch and say ridiculously hateful things about women. The other percentage will be facing less competition now that they're gone.

I'm out of that 44-45%. In playing roulette and getting a "bisexual" (lesbian) female, transwoman, feminist/angry woke career b*tch, or OnlyFans sluts, the odds of finding a good woman who's somehow still on the market, is just too damn rare.

That's it! We've completely run out of good women! Sold out! All we have left are lesbians, trannies, c*nts, and whores!

I just wanted a good woman in my life, and for a brief year, I had one before she passed away. There's nothing left for me. Though I'll still be friends with good women, there simply ARE no more good women left on the market.

You built yourself a echo chamber and got hit by the illusory truth effect. Don't surround yourself with negative ideas and views on any subject and that is very true when there isn't a scientific way of proving the information you are taking in. Because the misinformation and lies you are taking in will become the truth in your mind.

You effectively took yourself out of any scientific study that could be done to come up with a concrete number of how many "good women" are left. Because the illusory truth effect has effected your view on the subject to the point that you can't be impartial and approach the study with a impartial view.

All I'm gonna say is, I disagree with you and don't believe you know what you're talking about.

Look at the world as a science of experiments. For example the worlds population is around 7.837 billion. With females accounting for around 49.59% of the overall population. So you would have to come up with a truly unbiased way to find out if close to 50% of the worlds population is a good woman or not. Also we can't let things like race and religion factor into it. Because things like that quickly introduce a level of biases in the results that can cloud your thinking and negatively effect your results.

Biases is the enemy of Science and in turn the truth. Science is all about the truth, be that truth be good or bad. When we think in in terms of our world view we tend to not realize how biases our world view really is. So we can spend a crazy amount of time, money and effort to prove something scientific true. Only to never prove it is or outright prove it's false. Simply because we allow our personal biases to cloud our view. You can look at the Flat Earth Society and their several attempts to prove the world is flat as a good example of that. They have been at it since the 50's.

False and stupid argument, considering the alternative is to die angry, bitter, divorced, and broke. If you want to be a simp and have women walk all over you, go ahead. But yeah, the alternative in being single is better than being miserable AND a slave to a woman who mistreats you. It's not like men WANT most modern women to be entitled and selfish. But no; entitled and selfish women aren't "better than being alone" as you seem to imply.

So yeah, I'd rather be a so-called "misogynist" than a cuck.

I recently heard that the globe is becoming overpopulated, mostly in India.

My gut tells me that if women don't respond to average men because they all think they are above average, like how YouTuber Melanie King describes and how Kevin Samuels would discover over and over, the best thing to do is to just let these delusional women find out when it's too late.

I'm just an average guy, just trying to make it through the day, and the way I feel about females is that they are so socialized to be submissive they either think they are perfect and deserve a perfect man or they have been taught to be shy and believe men are mind readers.

    Serious.

Human relationships cannot survive this type of social environment we have made for ourselves.

Just depends on how we phrase it. Reality is that half of us men didn't cold approach women to begin with. Calling it done dealing with them because of it is overstating things.

To call it done with the statement should be talk to, interact with etc. To which I imagine the number is neglible. A so called cold approach is rare to start with and I would wager half of us never bother because we can get a nod, wink, smile or other go-ahead beforehand.

Fair point, I don't have it in front of me, but I also recall hearing by 2030 it's projected that over 55% of Americans will be single/not dating, however I might be getting some details wrong on that other then I'm confident on the date and percentage.

I don't know about the percentage but the trend upwards, which I suppose is the important bit, is correct. Not going to disagree at all with you there or with the assumed conclusion that something is causing it, because of course something has to be.

1000 isn’t a very strong examination group and i’ll be interested to know what the demographic cross-section looks like.
That said, i wouldn’t be surprised to see similar results in a larger group of broad cross-sectional demographics. Western society now punishes most men for taking chances that were common twenty years ago. There seems to be a growing number of women frustrated by this, but there is also a growing number of women who are initiating contact with fellas more often. This gives me hope for the younger generations. For guys my age, it’s just not worth it by any stretch of the imagination.
Statistically, we’re at our lowest marriage rates in a century, and childbirth rates are lower and descending as compared to the last three decades. If this trend continues, it will become clear that something more needs to change besides women making the first move more often. Chances are i won’t survive to witness the conclusion of current trends.

I agree things have really changed in the dating culture. I had to ask out my first boyfriend, well he gave me his number but wanted me to be the one to call and ask him on a date. He was 10 years older and didn't want come off as too aggressive. I think more women are going to have to be willing to approach single men for dates. As much as I dislike dating apps at least it took some of the akwardness out of one person having to approach the other in public.

Interesting number! So 44 % of the men who used to approach, right? I'm sure some men never really did that to begin with. I think that if you're a man who still approaches this would probably come as good news because there would be less competition for them, with 45 % gone.

If you're one of the 44 % would you... take the chance and approach again if you didn't approach her first and just got to know her and she turned out to be a great person? But she doesn't know that you fancy her. Would you approach in this scenario?

Modern women tend to be combative, high body counts, well educated, narcissistic tendencies, low skilled, adverse to commitment. Usually a feminist. Modern women don't need to have all these traits, but these are the most common.

Upon reading the replies the two women would fall into that category hard. You yourself @Sisters_Of_Time probably not, but I'm just basing this off of the dialog.

I feel that for my own benefit, I shouldn't approach women, even if they were being flirty or just friendly, unless it's totally professional or transactional interactions e. g. waitress, server, staff, nope I don't approach strange women.

I don't think it's in my wisdom to, and I guess truth be told further if an unappealing woman asked for my number or flirted with me, I can see why it's uncomfortable if I already knew I would say no. And likewise I guess it's a two way street if I'm unappealing to a woman who's attractive to me, and yeah.

I think I summed it up here, brief. Lol.

I would say "good, more options and less competition for me".

But it's a survey of only 1000, and its on gag, which doesn't have many nice guys (or girls) on it, and the site doesn't require all of it's users to participate in each survey and 44% of 1000 is only 440 people, and even if it did require all users to answer, its still a tiny fraction of general the population, and even of it were half the population surveyed resulting in 44%, the other half of the population could have a different survey outcome, because one person's opinion can't be used to representing the opinions of others, and for this reason, statistical surveys on opinions are always inaccurate.

I agree, in part, the scope and sample size isn't indicative of much. However coupling it with other ones and a trend forms. OK Cupid did something similar with a more robust sample size iirc, and there's other factors outside the scope of the survey unaccounted for that could make dating/marriage an unappealing prospect. Such as, alimony, child support, baby trapping, foodie calls, false allegations etc... So if the questioning scope and numbers were widened I'd wager the number of men would actually go up.

I would not trust a survey for a dating site that is notorious for lying to it's users.

Most men want a relationship with a woman, most men are also aware finding a match is very hard. The few who think it's impossible to find a match I could see giving up on it, but thats going to be a select few.

I don't think that's true. It's rather the opposite. Women have increased their standards to such astronomical heights that they refuse to settle with anything less than the top 10% of men. As I'm typing this there is only one female opinion here and already she says that 45% of men are not worth being with anyway. All you have to do is open any online dating app and you'll see used up hags even in their 50's telling you how they are princesses and deserve a high value man.

Funny you mentioned that actually, if you check the article the survey asked women what they considered "creepy" and honestly it sounded like everything was creppy. 🤣

Yes I’m in that group, though I no longer approach women for multiple reasons, but that’s a big one. I’m not ā€œafraidā€ of being creepy because I know I’m not. And it’s not like I can’t get a date or get laid.

It’s partly that you can only read so many posts or blogs or Reddit comments or see videos about some woman being creeped out because a guy asked her out at:

school, a coffee shop, the grocery store, a bar, a club, at a class—

... or complaining about men ā€œobjectifyingā€ them (because heaven forbid someone thinks you’re pretty)

that you just say ā€œto hell with it.ā€

Look at all that resistance you have to go through.

Now I ignore women. I don’t look at them. I don’t check them out. I don’t even look in their general direction. If I have to talk to a cashier who is a woman I just look at the cash register and stare at my phone or look out the window while I wait for my drink or food or whatever I’m doing.

Exactly right. The one problem with this if you ignore women at work they can still report you as "hostile" or "creepy".

Nah! I don't believe that this percentage is too high, let's be honest! Most people just don't feel confident to ask anyone out but they still deep down want to date (I'm one of them so I have to know something about that). So while it is true that we see less and less guys asking out and less relationships, it's not about true "choice".

By 2030, 45% of working women aged 25 to 44 in the United States will be single. That will be the largest share in history, according to research by Morgan Stanley (MS), using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

I don't pay attention to surveys, they're the weakest form of research. Men and women are just fine outside of dating apps and social media. Perceptions are skewed by all the culture wars abd social justice nonsense. In the real world not a lot has changed. Men and women have their issues with one another, sure, but they're age-old issues that aren't unique to 2022.

That's the kind of response that proves women seriously lack confidence.

Why do men always have to approach you when you won't even say hi? Am I supposed to just assume that I am not attractive to you because you don't talk to me?

It is. Not all women are bad of course, but there's more at play then this article covers also. Feminism, male bashing in media, the disrespecting of male role models, false allegations, bias in court proceedings etc... culminating into Maslow hierarchy tier two, safety, men are now seeking safety. Until they feel safe that trend will continue.

Which is a long winded way of me saying I agree šŸ˜†

I’m not dating haven’t for 16 years been in a relationship.
but everyone is just DM’ing or using dating apps.
That being said I stopped approaching girls at 20 I usually got disrespect mostly in some way making fun of my height. Resorted to online it was just more efficient and my self esteem wasn’t constantly being rocked. I’ve had other friends single say it’s gotten even worst.

Women are tired of dealing with men. Also some are Bi or bi curious so we have to compete with women and men too!! Most men lie, cheat, and are selfish babies.

You say this as if plenty of men want a bitter 36 to 45 year old bitter feminist, to begin with.

Women act to make certain changes happen in society, while men REACT to those certain changes in society. Women are the gatekeepers of sex and relationships and always have been. Men have had little power in dating and courtship simply because men cannot get pregnant, so women have always had the bigger risk involved, thus hold all the cards.

In short, if you don't like your sh*tty dating options with men, you as a woman only have yourself to blame, because men can't just get whoever they want as a partner unlike women; men can only get whoever is within their reach.

You imply to be a lesbo anyway, so have fun being with enlightened dykes, as if women are actually more honest, faithful, or mature. LOL! In your 40s and still a womanchild!

Women are a tough nut to crack. It was harder then and it's even harder now that they think they are the pinnacle of the earth. They all see themselves as 10s and think so little of Men.
