My coworkers want me to go to one of our nurses house to eat and have a good time among coworkers but?

My boyfriend thinks it was an open invite and said he would go like pretty much invited himself because I guess we have to see each other every weekend and I can’t ever have a life separate from my boyfriend…. My coworkers don’t want me to bring him. Not because of anything about him personally but because it is just for coworkers.. what should I do?

Just explain to him that it's a work party, and that none of the other people there will be bringing their partners
