My boyfriend used get distant when he was down. Now when he's down he tells me his issues. What could be the reason for the change?

Perhaps he has realised that he is better of sharing then holding in. It takes time to realise this and sometimes guys can keep forgetting that it's better to share and get perspective on problems.

Then to sit in the dark and try make resort of it in your own head alone, that can be like playing chess vs yourself and it is very hard to do it legitimate. Girls can of course forget this too, but it's not as common 😁
