Do you think Hollywood has morphed your views of the opposite sex?

No. Cause Hollywood has always been garbage, filled with garbage people.
The modern era and my personal experiences dealing with garbage human beings, has morphed my views of the opposite sex; seeing third and fourth wave feminism, MeToo, divorce rape, custody battles, OnlyFans, simp culture, and social media narcissism being done and celebrated by the majority of Western women nowadays.
Even the few who don't engage in this, do not speak out against it, because most women will advocate for things that benefit them, even if they're morally wrong, like MeToo, shaming unattractive/short men automatically as "creeps and incels," or fourth wave feminism hiring untalented useless women into job roles merely for being women.
Not that modern men don't suck too and aren't these feckless soyboys and manginas who think "spanking your child is child abuse" and that "guns are evil." I'm not attracted to men and the question asked about the opposite sex though, so I'm not going to go into men as much.
The TL;DR is, the entire world sucks in the 2020s. Women just seem to suck a little more, due to all the narcissism and entitlement.
No, just society in general. Now whether Hollywood bears responsibility for some of that I couldn't say.
Alec Benjamin made me looks forward to what would my partner would be like after we date for a long time. Otherwise it's all the same for me
Not really, lol.
My views are based on my personal experiences.
@Vegasrunner?
Do you believe what you see in Hollywood is reality?

I am more inclined to say Harvard and Berkeley fed the youth in schools the same message that Hollywood echoes as it relates to all aspects of Women.
The majority of it being fed by the Sexual Revolution and in opposition to OUR Intelligent Design as related to Form, Function, and Purpose.. From Abortion to Dress to Sexuality to Feminism enveloping them and pushing it into society etcā¦.
According to Hollywood, University, Social media women are inept whores who canāt get their professional or sexual lives in order and the biggest reason for this is they hate men.
Hollywood and Disney are the biggest exporters of this Nationally and Internationally. We are referred too both in Asia and Middle East as Great Satan for a reasonā¦or a global infection. Policy and Media are their āpointing too pointsā. TRAVELā¦.
Hollywood doesn't influence me like that.
Absolutely, without a doubt. Dating society has been especially impacted by Hollywood and its false idea of how romance works. Hollywood has groomed people from a young age into having unrealistic expectations of how a people should be for a relationship. For example, how to flirt, seduce, and romance women when you're a guy, how the ideal boyfriend is making 100k to 500k a year, with a nice 50k to 100k car, and always able to go to nice expansive restaurants and buy a woman everything she wants and gifts her jewelry and name brand clothing... that's absolute garbage fantasy, when the everyday person barely makes 12k to 15k a year with a good paying job and has a used car that usually has issues and the guy is in debt due to car payments and/or college.
There's also the common date stuff that is usually done to mean something, but now treated as mandatory/expected date stuff and there's women who take advantage of that... such as guy's paying for everything on dates to show financial stability and responsibility... sadly it's no longer that and it is just expected, when in reality it's good for women to show financial responsibility and stability as well... but most find it rude, unattractive, and unacceptable to have a woman pay for anything... we live in a failing economy with most citizens being poor or poverty, its unrealistic to expact a normal guy living on a wage of 9k to 12k a year, that after paying rent, utilities, car & college payments, taxes, and food bills, left with most likely have $200 or less to pay for the entire date plus fuel costs.
As for my own views. It really hasn't. I understand the reality around me and how unreasonable it would be to follow the Hollywood ideal.
to some degree but it's mostly due to listening to propaganda taught by ads, in school, politics etc early on life.
used to think of my own sex as the mean, rude, cruel, nasty, judgmental, unsympathetic ones towards the opposite sex and the opposite sex was the friendly, empathetic, non-judgmental towards all.
the truth got uncovered after years of observation. both sexes were mean, rude, cruel, nasty, judgmental and unsympathetic towards my sex while coddling the other sex.
male privilege turned out to be a lie and I was being forced to feel guilty for no reason other than being born male.
used to think polygamy and hypergamy was something in fictional movies but look at any rap music video and there's this one successful dude surrounded by multiple hot chicks. and pointing this out somehow gets more backlash.
Nope. The opposite.
Hollywood is just entertainment. The problem is that people seem to mistake it as an educational facility.
I still remember the idiot on Yahoo Answers who said she thought Titanic was "just a movie".
The only thing that media changed about my view of women, is that I assumed women were way more confident and assertive about what they want (especially physically) than they actually are. Bruh... you'd think American women are these insanely confident and direct people who know how to take ownership of their pleasure and get what they want.
That ish could not be further from the truth.
No, the types of women that get shown are whatever the people currently in charge find attractive, and it's never changed what I've found attractive in women.
What someone gets horny over is genetic on an individual level, you are born liking what you like, and it can't be changed through outside influences.
People only think media influences people because when people see something new, and they like it, it's assumed the media made them like it.
But in reality, that person simply would have liked that regardless of when or how it was discovered by them/introduced to them, because their genetic makeup predetermines how a person will react to any given stimuli.
Hollywood hasn't morphed my view of the opposite sex as much as being around the opposite sex. Looking at comments that I've read during my time on this website, some people are quite influenced by movies and tv. Lots of people think "YOLO, and if you don't sleep with as many people as a character on tv, you're missing out and not really living"
Since I don't watch a lot of movies (hollyweird) i have still some morphed views of the opposite sex. What am I supposed to think of it? Especially if I want girls.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/pPw_izFr5PAhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/xdVknLqOM9Ahttps://www.youtube.com/embed/3G32BQ3JJ1cThere is all this. And then there are friends, who have decent women as girlfriends/wives, that aren't like that. What am I supposed to do to get the good girls?
Yeah, I think you're right about that.
Of course not. I have enough life experience that i donāt have to rely on storytellers to shape my worldview.
The only thing thatās had any impact on my view of women is society specifically women themselves. And more importantly my own personal experiences.
not even remotely no... I've always been way smarter than that
I do live by, and for actual personal experience
I pay no attention to anything coming out of Hollywood.
Iāve always beaten my own drum. Iām not that easily influenced.
No, not at all.
Hollywood is so far from reality that their portrayal of people is not even close to how people are in real life.
Hollywood romantic movies tend to be less romantic, gold diggers are common in real life.
Not even on the slightest bit. My views on ladies, gentlemen, bitches and assholes has always been based on my experiances of them. Their actions decide what category each belongs to, not hollywood.
Well firstly I don't think those are the main stereotypes that Hollywood promotes. Anyway my views were formed by watching James Bond, so I view men as tough and women as seductive.
They haven't of mine, but maybe for the majority of the population?
No. I don't look at life through those lenses.
It's bizarre and stupid and not consistent with my reality and life experiences..
Hollywood would like to think so but no.
However the endless anecdotals on YouTube are more persuasive.
Yes, it fooled me into thinking they're pure of heart, when in reality they're evil prostitutes
Probably, though I think most of my views are from my own experience. Most movies and TV are made by people who've lived very different lives than me, so they don't apply much for me.
You screwed the pooch on that one.
No but social media has.
No. Women did that
Hollywood morohs everything. Fake as hell.
No, my views are based off experience
No, it's just made me despise leftist women.
It has not
No lol
Not at all
Nope
Real-life experiences are more credible. Most of the women I have met have all been decent people.
They probably have had more negative experiences with women. They are hurting and will come on here to vent.
I doubt that's the reason. You can let a negative experience show you what red flags to look out for in the future, or you can use it as an excuse to be hateful and bitter. Some people choose to be miserable.
