No BUT short, cute, and corny animal jokes will never hurt for the Silent moments. That's the only time I do it. In all my affairs people like me there because I cure the awkward quiet social moment.
All women want to be around that guy. You will find the guys start learning jokes too.

I don't think so. You need to have a sense of humor and if you're good, you can make her laugh. That is a big plus once you're in a relationship.
