Girl doesn't seem to latch on any subject I bring up and engage in conversation despite wanting to date me?

I'm confused because she wants to facetime me, see me in person but she does not talk much, answer much, bring many topics to the conversation. Basically, keeping conversation alive is a struggle. I don't know what to do.

I don't know why, but some people are just really trash at communicating. If that's something that bothers you, then I wouldn't even bother continuing anything with that person.
