Do men who might be insecure choose a girl who is not as attractive but maybe easier above a girl who is more attractive/harder to get?

I’m sure SOME men do that, but my god not ALL men are the same! Some guys may find it easier to get laid, if they go for girls who are way below what they could get if they just tried harder. But again, not all men are lazy and unwilling to put the work in to get a better looking woman. But the reverse is way more likely. When guys who are maybe a 2 of 3 or maybe even a 4 at best, try asking out girls who are a 7, 8, or 9. And when they keep getting rejected, blame the women for all being too shallow! The way I see it, as long as you are willing to date a really sweet guy who is 2 numbers below you, then you are most definitely NOT shallow! So if I were an 8 and I was more than dating a guy who was a 6 at best, but he was sweet, gentle, kind, caring, had a great sense of humor, then that more than makes up for the difference in looks! Dating someone WAY above your looks level adds an uneven power dynamic anyway, and that can easily be taken advantage of.

they do. many guys have low standards or will chase women who are not as desirable so they won’t be alone and can have constant access to sex. most women don’t do this and this is a reason why men will go on and on about women having high standards: because most of us aren’t thirsty enough to choose someone who don’t want to avoid being alone.
