Is it just me, or is dating pointless now?

(I really need advice) I've been wondering lately why I can't seem to match with anybody online or in person and before you ask yes I actually do get people's information but they lose interest. A year ago I was working at a gas station and not doing anything with my life and now I go to college am fit and have some friends. I thought it would make me happier but in all honesty everything still hurts and I feel alone more than ever. What's the point in a education, fit body, or friends if im just gonna be bored with studies, can't find a good woman to share my healthy body with, and even around frinds feel lonely. What's the point in bettering myself if nothing I wanted from it is coming?

Don’t beat yourself up or be so harsh on yourself. I wouldn’t take it personal because you’re being the best version of yourself as you possibly can. Finding the right person takes time though and in general these days it’s super hard with the hookup culture. Surprisingly when I wasn’t expecting it I met my boyfriend on tinder and we had a strong connection from there on out online and in person and we’re still in the beginning stages but I haven’t felt this way in so long but I wasn’t overthinking it, I wasn’t putting pressure on it I was thinking positive about myself and it just clicked. I’m sure a wonderful girl is out there for you, you have to stay patient and believe you’re worth it.

I tried multiple dating apps and got no matches. I was getting turned down by single moms and morbidly obese women. My heart couldn't take it anymore. I put all that effort in and that's the best I can do? Part of me just wants to stop caring about people and just focus on making money and maybe I'll move somewhere with a different dating culture. But honestly, I don't wanna wait 6 years for that and if I did might just hookup instead.

That's just how I feel. I don't even know what to do anymore.

Have patience sometimes people come into your life when you aren't looking. Just keep living your life and doing what you love. People can come into your life when you least expect it sometimes.

Your emotional state is most likely what give you the rejections in the first place. You need to learn to be happy on your own. No one wants a depressed energy drain as a partner. They want someone happy that makes them happier.

No offense man but you really didn't pay attention to what I wrote if you're saying that. I did the things that are supposed to make you happy and it didn't work. In fact I'm actually just happier working a normal job and living in my studio apartment but most girls don't want to be with that guy for long or marry him.

I did you are not happy then it doesn't matter if you improve your looks. Because they will pickup on your state and reject it no matter how fit you make yourself. I don't know what makes you happy but you need to start there. Clearly workouts and feeling the results didn't do it for you. Neither did college.

I just told you. I'm happy living making 20k a year and just living in my studio appartment playing video games. Is that attractive to women?
