Why does my boyfriend stare at this girl behind my back?

He has classes with this girl and from what I’ve heard he checks her out when she walks into class, When she talks in class, when she leaves the class, and even when he talks in class people say that he would look over at her. Why does he look at her so much?

Because your boyfriend has a penis, and guys no matter what their age will look at other women, they can’t help it, it’s in their DNA. Hell, I’ve even caught my FATHER looking at other women, and my parents are like newlyweds, they are completely in love with each-other, and it’s very obvious that they are not only still madly in love with each-other, but they actually LIKE each-other. I asked my mom (b/c I saw her notice it, I wouldn’t bring it up if she never noticed it, as I don’t want to start issues in my parent’s marriage that do not exist) anyway, she just said “he may be your daddy and my husband, but he is STILL a man, and men look, it’s just a thing that most of them do.” I asked Mom if it bothered her, she replied “it would only bother me if I looked at a gorgeous man and your father objected… that would really piss me off, given the amount off women he’s looked at!” That was before my first boyfriend, but I’m glad that my mom taught me that, because when I DID finally have a first boyfriend, I noticed him occasionally but respectfully (as in not just staring at them) looking at other girls while in school as well as on dates.
I think it’s up to you. If this behavior upsets or offends you, then you need to talk to him and ask him to stop, but explain calmly why it upsets you. If you are sincere and not overbearing, I’m sure he will make a conscious effort to not do it, or at the very least make sure you don’t see it!

While some people will say this is natural, I feel like its disrespectful. It sounds like he's doing more than just the normal looking. It's one thing to look once or twice, but it's another for him to embarrass you by STARING at her so much that other people have started to notice.

My first boyfriend did this and I brushed it off as others are suggesting, it got worse. He never stopped even when I started doing it back. You know what finally got under his skin? Another guy did to him, what he was doing to me.. He finally got a taste of his medicine and he didn't like how it felt. I smiled and giggled, pretending to like the attention to get more under his skin. I don't advise you to do this, I was very immature when I was a teenager, but that's what worked out for me.

After that, I broke up with him because like I mentioned earlier, his behavior got worse and he ended up actually cheating on me. I'm not saying this will happen to you, but I don't agree with everyone else when they say it's normal to stare in the way you described.
