I have had two women approach me at least a decade after they rejected me letting me know in conversation they regretted it, so i would say from my experience it happens (both were not in good places when they told me that though)

I feel badly for rejecting anyone, even being in a happy relationship. Someone liking you, and having enough courage to tell you ( if they are unaware) is a nice feeling for anyone.

i always just say yes cause i feel bad

and im very public about relationships

and not many people ask me out anyway so
