We were on the phone and he goes ok bye I love you. I say ok bye. He pauses and say ok bye.

I realized he said I love you after hanging up. It threw me off a little he has never said the L word. Does this count as an I love you?

Yes he wouldn’t have said it if he didn’t mean it trust me. And if he paused he was probably waiting for you to say it back. Not saying you’re obligated or that you’re wrong for not saying it because you don’t have to if your not sure yet. And you will also know by the way he treats you. Do he show signs of being in love?
