Guys, what does it mean when your boyfriend called you my love but hasn't said I love you yet?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for about a year now. We both haven't said I love you yet (even though we both feel it), we just want to be 100% sure before we say it because we both feel right for each other and are planning to one day get married if everything goes well. in his past relationship he was with a girl for 3 years and she ended up cheating on him and was completely heart broken... he thought he was gonna marry this girl and thought she was perfect for him so ever since then he's been very cousious about his feelings and just being very careful with those three words. Anyway, he has told me that he really does have the love feelings for me and is just wanting to wait for the perfect time to say it... and he said he will only say it when he knows I'm gonna be his girl forever, and we have talked about getting married in the future (which I think is very sweet :') ) he knows I love him and I know he loves me. So recently he called me love and it caught my attention and he's been doing it very rarely and would say stuff like "goodnight my love" so is this some way of him slowly getting to the I love you? by the way, he had never said anything like this before and it makes me happy :) what does him calling me 'love" or 'my love' specify? <3

Seems like he's getting there slowly but surely. He's sounds serious about the word love though because like irishkev said I would of been called my girl love but loosely like calling her babe or baby so it sounds like you're on the right path

hi. well if youve been going out a year, i think he should of said it by now. i was going out like 3 or so months i think when i said it to her lol, but best dessision i made. time will come when u know its right, dont worry. :)
