Older women - what makes them so appealing to younger guys?

I’m recently divorced and just started dating again.

What I’ve noticed that surprised me the most - there are A LOT of younger men (some MUCH younger) with an affinity for older women.

And I’m not talking about men who want a Sugar Momma either - but full blown relationships. What’s up with that?

I mean I’m flattered and all but it feels so taboo. Should it? Your thoughts?

Follow up question…but what about the bodies? I don’t mean older women like 30something. That’s not “older” - to me anyway. That’s prime. I’m talking 40+. Many have had kids - have scars…their bodies are no longer perky and tight anymore. Is that something y’all just overlook? It baffles me.

Their bodies have been through a lot. They have scars - they’re not as firm and perky anymore. Is that something that guys just overlook?

When I was younger, about 19-20, I was dating a woman in her 30's.

Honestly, for me, it was the sex. I was a teenager, and my hormones were in full rage mode, and older women were just so much better in bed. They knew what they wanted, and, more importantly, they were more comfortable about expressing their desires.

They were also less inhibited about giving, so I had more fun with an older woman than I did with someone my own age. There was also a lot less drama, less partying (which was never appealing to me), and they were more mature. Women my age were just annoying. Between that, and better sex; older women were just more enticing.

Yeah, it was honestly very refreshing for me, as a young man. I've never liked drama, and girls my age were about 90% drama.

It was so much more appealing to spend time with someone who had her shit together, AND have mind blowing sex, at the same time. It was 19 year old's dream come true.

Oh I bet! Lol so here’s something I learned by talking to them…most men whose first experience or early experience with an older woman seem to keep the affinity for it throughout their lives. It becomes a preference much like, blonde/brunette, boobs/ass…etc.

I've never actually thought of it, but yeah; I fit into that category.

She wasn't my first, and I was with women closer to my age after her (whatever particular age I was, at the time), but I usually went for women older than me.

My last relationship lasted 12 years, and she was almost ten years older than me. Any relationships I've had with women younger than me, or my own age, never lasted long.

For me, older women don't bullshit or pretend to be someone else. They are mostly independent. They are objective, take initiative and have a great sense of humor. But I don't generally put a number to the age. If someone younger also shows the same qualities, I'd find them attractive as well. As far as bodies go, I've never really been attracted to bodies of women. Call it something an older person would feel.

There's nothing like the teachings of an older woman. Lost my virginity to a 26 year old when I was 18. She was my SCUBA instructor. Totally hot and curvy in her wetsuit.

I also found the women in their 40's and 50's, when I was 30-ish, to be attractive. They were calm, cool and sexy as hell.

There are some super attractive women out there that are 10-15 years older than I am. There's a lot of women out there that really take care of themselves, lookers when they were younger and still just as hot today.

I think older women are very attractive. I was dating a women in her late 50's within the last year. I knew one of her kids was older than me. I thought she was in her mid to late 40's she looked so good.

We got along so well, very easily like two peas in a pod. She was surprised that I know a lot of older music from the 50's-60's-70's etc. Trying new restaurants, having wine, endless conversations. It was so refreshing.


Absolutely NO DRAMA. When we went out to eat she would pay for a dinner and I would leave a tip, next time we went iut it switched. Completely 50/50. Which was absolutely amazing.


For a women in her late 50's I didn't mind the scares, she's very much still fit, boobs are very perky considering she wears a 34G in bras. We would spoil each other with gifts.

They are generally confident in their bodies and know what they want. They also have a lot of experience, generally less selfish, can lead, and also teach.

They just want sex. Getting into a relationship to have it more often is a way to navigate any defense mechanisms. Don't believe me? think they are as you say looking for 'full blown relationships..' then see for yourself. Few of them are interested in the 'older woman' just the sex. This is similar to how a lot of men confuse a woman wanting their non sexual validation and attention, for actually wanting them...
