How to fight off my insecurities?

My boyfriend always comments on how gorgeous woman's eyes when we're watching tv shows or movies. Usually it's people with gorgeous blue eyes.
i agree they have stunning eyes but without him knowing i feel self conscious about my eyes Mine are so plain and dark brown. He is innocently saying comments but it makes me feel sad. He never has ever commented on my eyes ever. I don't want to say anything or show that I'm Insecure about my eyes. How do I fight off my insecure feelings?

If a tiny drop of water falls on a big strong man, eventually he will go completely nuts! It's called "water torture". And that is what he's doing to you, unaware of it.

So... you are normal.

does he complement you in other ways?

He has to learn what his role is... to provide security to you and especially... emotionally. He has to learn to communicate to you with love. In other words, instead of blabbering whatever he thinks, he needs to say it such that it is loving to you, otherwise, don't say it.

Your role is to work on feeling good about yourself as much as you can and to respect him. That may be difficult...

If he's 30yrs old and doesn't know this, you got a real knuckle dragger to educate, he has some work to do on himself.

Failure to fix this early issue... and your relationship will turn into the debri you get after rubbing wood with sand paper.

im sure its not that deep, their just eye balls your boyfriend still loves you. nothing to feel insecure about; be proud of your plain dark brown eyes cause people wish they could have that eye color too.

I had a girl tell me once that I had "cow eyes". I really did not know what to make of it. I told my female friend about this and she said that cow eyes are the sweetest eyes. I bet that you also have "cow eyes"

If you dont want to say anything, then he will continue to upset you which he probably isn't doing on purpose. But maybe he is and that's messed up too

Sounds like you need to get a guy who has blue eyes and then compare them with his so that he understands how you feel when he does the same
