Why do some people start dressing like the person they are into?

Sometimes we mimic the people we want to impress in order to influence them that we are similar, so they should like us in return. Dressing is more unusual though, usually it's more body language and mannerisms.

Sometimes couples dress alike as well and it's because they get influenced by each other.

It’s human nature. When we talk to people we like we also mimic their gestures. It’s a great thing to do in a job interview. Mimicking the interviewers hand and facial expressions will subconsciously make you more likeable.
