Do you think that we give people enough time to truly get to know them?

In the dating world, how many dates is too many and how many chances are too many.

As for me, I like the number for the first time may be too nervous or whatever and people aren’t really just open the second day gives you time the third you’re comfortable the fourth day you can let loose and actually understand you receive that person properly I guess

Nope, seems like a lot of people are looking for a dating resume, and they want to know everything on the first date before they proceed to the second date.

It is as if you must meet their resume requirements before they want to get to know you.

There is a whole list of things that men and women say should come out on the first date, and its basically 90% of everything to know about someone, which isn't realistic to get that much on the first date, let alone the first ten or twenty dates.

Then as some things come out, as they should... some get upset that it didn't come out sooner.

"What do you mean you have a kid?" I'm done, I'm pissed you didn't tell me that the moment we met in the first 10 seconds... you should have.

"You have how many sexual partners" Why didn't you start out telling me your easy in the first five minutes.

"You still live with your parents?" No way am I dating a guy who lives with his parents, you should of told me that in the first minute, so I wouldn't waste any time on you.

"You don't have a job?" Ugh...

Right. I think the dating apps have a lot to do with this. Back say, 25 years ago, you'd date several times and talk things over. No one had to "pass a test" in the first ten minutes. And it was fun getting to know people, even if it didn't work out eventually.

I dont need to go on a daye with someone several times to get to know them. I just need to have a lot of deep conversations in person or by phone (without it being a date). Then i can solidify it with one date to see if we’re physically compatible as well. (I dont mean sexually but like how we vibe around eachother romantically and if we’re physically attracted and see past just friendship/hanging out/etc). As time goes on with getting to know them, date or not, I’ll know by the end of the day or week if i can see them in my future

Love is a game of risk and gain. You take chances, make mistakes, learn and grow. When you fail to do any of the aforementioned, you lose big time.

People don't give the game enough time before they built an elaborate palace of lies and half-truths about each other. Than reality comes and knocks it over or makes it stronger.

Time is money and both are in short supply. I don't see the point in trying to make a relationship happen if it's clearly not going to by the end of the 1st date.

It doesn’t take more than one date (or a few seconds or minutes really) for me to know if there is potential for something more or not. I know right away if I’m attracted and interested or not and continuing to date someone I don’t feel attracted to/interested is just a waste of time. Every single time I’ve tried to (because yes, I’ve tried to ”give people more time”) it turns into nothing and my lack of interest gets even more established. I just get even less interested and certainly not even a little bit attracted. For me it’s there feom the start or never at all. 100% of the people I’ve dated that I got into relationships with or almost got into relationships with I knew from the first date that this could turn into something.

I don't believe most people a give a long enough chance to get to know each other. It takes time before someone's true character is revealed. But mmost people give up on someone as soon as they see 1 flaw or an obstacle.

You don't really search for love like that.

For instance you don't search for love. When it shall happen, it happens by itself.

Instead frequent places where like minded people gather.

When it shall be a relationship, you will know. Because just thinking about that person makes you very happy.
