We loved each other and I still love her so much, we weren't dating but we were going on that path, things happened and she become confused and lost, she told me not to leave her but wanted me as a friend currently, but I want to give her space, and I also clarify her that I love her and I'm here forever and ever. But how to do it? Like, not messaging her for weeks... months? Or just sending a message on how the day went every now and then? Thanks in advance.

I would give her a week or so and then come back to it. If she still feels that way, then I would ask her how long. If she can't tell you, then I would tell her you have to move on. I understand giving someone a little time for them them to figure things out, but, it is someone else's life they're holding up. She has to be respectful of you and let you go.

If she comes back around again someday, then maybe she realized what she lost.

Well she said that but she is really distance, the other day she didn't even talk, and just sent a message if everythings fine, she replied with: "I'm fine, just don't want to talk", so yeah, I know I should give her some space, she is confused and lost.
