How would you feel if you found out your son has a sugar baby relationship with his girlfriend?

If you found out that your son met his girlfriend on seeking arrangement and basically pays her bills in order for her to date him, how would you feel about that? He is in his 30's and financially stable and she is in her early 20s and still in college.

I wouldn't be to proud of him and I would let him know that he lost some respect in my eyes.

Afterall, what's the difference between paying her bills and having sex and paying her for sex outright? It's just a round about way of doing it, still doesn't change the end game.

By the time my kid is in his 30's I'll be well over 50 since I don't have kids yet and I'm 25. But most importantly my job as a parent would have ended years ago, I will be disappointed that I didn't raise a better man but overall it will be his life to live and as long as it's his money I will have no say in what he spends it on.

I wouldn't personally approve of just a relationship, but it's his life, and his choice. If it makes him happy, then that's what matters most.

I would simply hope that he understands that the consequences of such a decision are also his responsibility, and nobody else's. He's a grown man, after all.

If he's that stupid and reckless financially than clearly he needs a harsher teacher than I was when he was growing up. Parents, letting your kids fail can be painful but humans learn a lot more from failure than success so it's not the end of the world.

If it’s his money and he’s a concerning adult let him learn a hard lesson as a parent you can’t always give advice your child will take but also you mustn’t be hostile he will need your love when his heart is shattered and he realizes her love isn’t for him but his money, now if it’s your money then cut him off because you are enabling him.
