2.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. When my son was 17 he got into it with his mom and she called me up and said you need to come pick him up
He was angry at her because the way that she treated me throughout the divorce and now he was old enough and smart enough to understand what she did but that was still no right for him to treat her the way that he was doing
He also got kicked out of his school and had to go to a charter school
So I wouldn't pick them up and I told him you have one rule one rule only
I told him I didn't care if he was 50 years old but he was going to graduate school
Anyway long story short it took 3 days but
He went to school every single day graduated early and got to graduate with his regular high School he became a fireman paramedic so I'm very very proud
Meanwhile as he was living with me yes I would have girls come over all the time and I didn't know this until probably about a year down the road but he had been secretly doing whatever with them LOL
And none of these girls were my girlfriends they were just good friends so there was nothing I could do about it anyway because I didn't know about it
And even if I did know about it I don't know if I would have but it all turned out for the best00 Reply

11 moI wouldn't allow it, plain and simple. This is not how it works in my family, my son will pick from candidates we chose for him just like I did and my father did.

So in your family it’s always arranged marriage? - 11 mo
Somewhat, it's preferable to marry someone who comes from our level of wealth or above. They are semi-arranged because neither me or my sister were forced into it, our father just made encouraged us to date/hang out with good candidates he picked.
I did the same for my half-brother since my father has passed, I matchmade him with some of the finest women from Italy, France and Belgium. - 11 mo

u 11 moWell, my son is 12 so I'd be furious at my friend lmao
If he were older though and a consenting adult, then whatever works for him. I just hope my friend makes my son happy.21 Reply- 11 mo

Question was a grown so above age 18, so ok.
Neither would I mind at that age
I'd kick both their asses, then wonder where I did go wrong for this fuck up to happen.

No facts, because in my head I’ll be thinking like did they see my son this way when he was little to? Were they just waiting for them to get “older” ? Sooo many questions

11 moBoth of my sons are married, so I'd be disappointed.
Back when they were single, I'd be surprised, since they both preferred to date their own age, but if they are happy, I would quietly look the other way, and implicitly support it.

11 moMy friend would never do that, but if they did, it would not be cool at all. I'd immediately cut off all ties.

u 11 moI don’t have any children I don’t know how I would feel.
00 Reply 1.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. I find interesting that most women said they’d be furious and cut off the friend while men were fairly indifferent.
Goes to show just how different perception is on the matter based on gender.
Because I guarantee if this question was about a daughter dating one of your friends most men would be reaching for a shotgun
Now I don’t have a son but pretending that I did and he was of age I would like to think that I raised a smart and capable man who doesn’t take bullshit from the word the same way my parents pushed to raise me and succeeded mostly.
So if he’s dating a woman my age who’s a friend I would have him justify his goals and intentions and make sure she’s not just using him and lying to him and either Ill have them end it or just give him a high five depending on the dynamic in place
I've never dated friends of my parents but I have dated women closer in age to them compared to me on a few occasions and it wasn’t the worst experience ever.
Just unsustainable01 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. So , I'm amusing he is of age , say 18 ( I had a Cougar when I was 18 ) , I'd explain for him that in the short term its fine , and he will get a good empty and plenty of sexual experience , so keep his powder dry and learn , but long term he will need and want a much younger woman , so he can then transfer all he learnt , and all the washing he had done , and cooking..
So I'd advise him to use the time an enjoy , but long term he needs to take charge and not have a mother figure , all be it she may be hot to him now , that won't last , so message would be just enjoy the time , and bang himself senseless.

Opinion Owner11 moWhy are you so obsessed with adults fucking people's children? You dreaming about sleeping with kids or something? Every other question you make is about some people's children fucking adults.

You assume it old be a woman...
- 3.4K opinions shared on Dating topic.
11 moChances are, any of my friends would be close to 60 older than my son by the time he's old enough to date anything but teenagers, so, if he's into women that old, have at it!!
00 Reply I have some much younger ‘friends’ so it’s ok. If he was dating a woman my age, I’d be concerned.
