I'm 16 in grade 10 (born October 2006), and he's 14 in grade 9 (born June 2008). ik ik its a big age gap and prob very weird. we are 1yr 7 months and 24 days apart so basically nearly 20 months. He is actually my first crush. I've known him since he was 11 and I was 12 because we live very close, same bus stop, catch the same bus (he saves a seat for me , and go to the same school. I first had a crush on him when I was 14 and he was 13 but then I lost feelings as the year went on then when I was 15 and he was 14 I gained those feelings again and I still like him to this very day.
one day, like 6 weeks ago, I told him I like him on text when hanging with friends. and the convo went literally exactly like this:
me: hey, I like you
him: ay?
me: I have a crush on you
him: I don't feel the same way about you
me: omg sorry, (friend's name) took my phone and said that *she didn't actually*
him: knew it
me: wdym, also thank you for the rejection -_-
him: no problem, I've gotten these sorts of texts before
me: so on the bus what was (his sister's name) talking about? *background info- apparently he told his sister that he liked me and then when she confronted him on the bus, he didn't deny it and as an idiot, I replied with 'thank you' *
me: and if it was real?
him: gn
after my friend basically spammed him a whole bunch and he said that he doesn't like me and I was better as a friend. his sister confronted him to ask why he said that he liked me (filmed interrogation- he knew he was being recorded) which he replied to her saying 'i just told you (his sister) that to shut you up'
so when we went back to school, we both ignored the whole thing and continued hanging out like nothing ever happened. my friend reckons 27percent a relationship could happen and that he was bluffing. both of us aren't popular. I'm picked on a lot (he doesn't know that and I think he's under the impression I'm more popular than I actually am) (I'm not his only friend that's a girl).
