Dating not looking for something too serious?

There’s this guy who wanted me for a while then got into a relationship and after we started talking again and someone had told me his girlfriend was cheating on him and everyone knew except him. so we went on a date yesterday And he told me that he likes me but he was in something serious so he doesn't want anything too serious.
From a guys point of view what does that mean?

So it seems like he has trust issues since he was cheated on and doesn’t want to jump into a serious relationship with someone until he feels he can give himself completely to someone , the same thing happened to me after my ex cheated on me , being cheated on by someone you give your heart to is a traumatizing experience, it changes your whole outlook on relationships and makes you hold walls up to protect yourself from ever being betrayed by someone again , the only way I will commit to a girl is if she proves to me she isn’t selfish and values relationships and understands what it means to be on a committed relationship to make sure she isn’t the cheating type , nowadays with social media and all the horror stories we hear about it’s harder for people to trust each other , because so many people are selfish and only really care about themselves , just like his ex girlfriend was a very selfish person if she was getting railed by other guys behind his back , Sadly through a man’s perspective these days most girl’s are considered selfish whores that do not know how to be loyal and faithful to a man that wants to be loyal and faithful to her , Through a girl’s perspective she assumes every guy just wants his dick wet and that’s all he cares about , Social media played a big part on destroying peoples perspectives not each other and that’s why so much cheating and affairs occur because most people today are insecure and selfish , so once you have your heart shit on by someone you trusted with all your heart it’s hard to fully trust someone else. When I entered back into the dating world I was meeting girls’ that told me what I wanted to hear to get me in bed to find out after the fact she was married or already in a relationship with someone else. I immediately kicked them to the curb where they belong , so I will not commit to a girl that can not prove to me she isn’t a selfish whore bottom line , for her to get inside my heart she has to make me her number 1

Priority and remove selfishness for me , make me feel valued and wanted and that she only has eyes for me , respect me and cherish me , if she can do that for me I will do the same for her , We can’t force someone to love us all we can do is treat someone the same way we want to be treated , Sadly most girls today are selfish people that think grass is greener on the other side , She can have a great man by her side and she will still find flaws in him to give her an excuse to spread her legs to another man , I have witnessed and experienced this shit to many times , that’s why most guys today are scared to get into a committed relationship.
