Is his relationship with his parents a red flag?

I have been getting to know this guy for a month now and he shows signs of being interest in something serious with me. We FaceTime quite a lot now and there are some things I noticed that make me uncomfortable. His relationship with his dad hasn’t been good at all, he destroyed his phone during a fight with his dad. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of good communication within his family and today during FaceTime we were chatting and his dad walks into his room and suddenly he hangs up on me with no explanation. I have an amazing relationship with my parents and I don’t know how to feel about all this. Is this a red flag?

Huge red flag. He needs counseling to recover from what was probably a traumatic childhood. You can be sympathetic but he's not a good choice for a partner right now. He has problems you can't fix.

I would suggest red flag him. It could be the dad but getting violent towards his phone is saying don't go there.
