If you work in the private sector it shows you have stronger work ethic, being prepared and the one that will do little extra.
If government job, come in 15 minutes late and leave 15 minutes early. Look busy when the real managers walk by, and you will be get promoted quickly.

I started training as a door to door salesman, and there are a bunch of lines to remember, and tactics to use. Now, I’m payed both an hourly rate, and commission. Obviously I’d prefer to make my sales, so I show up to work about a half hour early, I put in the work to get good at it. There are dozens of people at my job that make over 100k, I’d like to do the same.
It can be good to get work done and the boss will love you for it, but your health goes before work, never forget that.

Sure, then you're not rushed. You can relax a little bit before you start your shift. I see nothing wrong with it. I think it's a pretty good idea
I am usually in early, but I also leave early. It allows me to get a lot done before co-workers show up. Fewer distractions.
I think it isn't not good
