Is age a turn off for guys?

I will be turning 28 this month and I feel like I’m getting old. My boyfriend will be turning 31 and I don't know if he thinks im still pretty or young or think im getting old. I guess Im Just overthinking and being insecure. I been with my boyfriend for 11. Years so many that’s why but do guys care about a female age?

Depends how she is aging? Some women can retain their looks, but everyone has a date when they lose their looks. Some women begin to show signs of aging at 30, some start showing after 50. That's your DNA, lifestyle and diet there.

Men are biologically wired to want to mate with young and fertile women. That's not a conditioned value. Some men can develop added interest in older women, fat women, and weird quirky girls, or even naughty girls who sleep around. But at the basis of their attraction will be youth.

In the greater scheme of things, a young man would fall in love with a beautiful woman. She would show him love and affection. Care for him, and he would support and defend her for evil doers. She would eventually bare children, and they would grow old together. His love would carry her through, the days of her fading beauty. Almost like a transaction. You give me your young looks, my family, and I will honor you until the end of my days.

That's ideal. Guys sometimes want to keep showing their seeds with multiple women, if just for practice. Which is on par with men's need to have sex with as many, to have as many offspring as possible. That is biologically successful breeding, which most modern guys take as getting around.

It's interesting that some modern women want to act like men and sex everyone up. They do learn that this does not compute well with men, and the more men she has been with, the more he loses interest in her. Less he is weak, and desparate. Naughty women, which are needed in society, train the guys to become their wife's future lover. Hopefully quality trained, than clueless.

11 years isn’t a few, it’s amazingly a lot and beautiful.

If I was a with a girl this long, I wouldn’t imagine being satisfied smell another woman’s oder on my body, it would feel weird.

Don’t you ever doubt yourself, its great when you take care of yourself and body because thats good for you both but don’t think that time ruins a real relationship.

@DizzyDesii Well most men my age are only interested in the young ones for one reason... but for those of us that don't give a shit about just that... we do think this way. But women our age all caught up in their own history and past relationships. So, they tend to fixate on the wrong things, and get inside their own heads. I can't compete with their own or previous demons.

But the young ones are more trusting I guess, willing to take shit at face value.

Yes and no. It's a strike against you. It doesn't make you undateable, but it does move you down a notch in the pecking order. You just have to work a little harder than your younger counterparts. This is the main reason why older women fail. They don't adapt! They don't accept thier diminishing market value and think they can get away with the same games they played before.

There will always be guys that consider 30 to be the wall. Personally I think it's closer to 40. I think women in thier 30's are the best age. They're at a crossroad of thier being thier most attractive and thier greatest acceptance of thier bodies, which makes them much more relaxed and not so inhibited.

Some women can hold thier appeal far into thier 50's but I'd say 40 is more realistically the cut-off.

The only time decent guys care about a woman's age is if they want kids, they don't want her to be past 30 to start a NEW relationship. As long as you have an established relationship before then with a long term partner, there is nothing to be concerned about.

Why not just be honest? You're wondering if 'you still got it' and whether guys in general still find you as attractive. You say that you're worried about your boyfriend but he's still with you and it's been 11 years... so back to my original point.

Yes and no.

If you are aging together, he won't see you age.

But if you were single, yes a 35 yo women will get less attention and opportunities than a 25 yo.

Men don't care about age, it is just a number, but they care about appearance. When you age your attractivity decrease because of how your body age. That's all.

Some guys it is but you’d be surprised. For me, since I was like 11 I’ve been mostly into women 5-10 years older than me. I’m 37 now and there are women my mom’s age I find attractive. Just depends on the guy, really.

Not at 28, assuming she isn't one of those people who age prematurely or don't take care of themselves. If you have lasted 11 years with the guy it is unlikely he will consider it a turnoff, especially if he is already 3 years older than you.

Age is only a consideration when there's a large gap. As a man in my 30s, I'm not going to date an 18 year old, but 28 is not old, you're still in your prime

@Qdbrown I've seen seriously aged 20-somethings and 40-somethings that look way younger. And neither the asker nor I mentioned breeding so not sure how that is relevant. But to that point, my mom was nearly 45 when I was born.

For most guys, that want to eventually start families, are not going to chase women in their 30's, especially mid to older 30's, because that is realistically two kids. After 40, the risks of having serious birth defects go way up.

If the guys doesn't want to have kids, then no big deal. Many guys these days are scared of the expense of children. I know I was until I started having them. Now I wished I had started earlier and had more children. Having one or two is not ideal. One bout of sickness or dies, and your family, since the beginning, just ended their line on a mere accident. If carrying forward and giving your children a few to be around long after you are not.
