I’ve had a crush on this guy for a little while. We met through theater in 2019 but didn’t really talk much since we were both in relationships. Fast forward to December and I get the courage to follow him on Instagram. Since then, we’ve sent a few casual/flirty messages. I would like to have his number, but I’m afraid of coming off too strong. Should I let it play out or go for it?
Girl I asked my crush for drinks and he told me he was talking to someone. I do still see him on dating apps and friend suggestions on Facebook. I’m hoping he comes around but I know I’m going to see him again on the dating apps and already said that I will flat out say hey crazy meeting you on here. Still want to do drinks or is it still a no? But I don't know if I should or even add him on Facebook. I’m hoping he will come around as we’d be perfect together, but girl what does it hurt? The worst he can say is no.

You are in the mindset that you will loose something if you take the risk. But in reality you currently have nothing going on with him. Take the risk : at best you can go on dates with him at worst you loose nothing.
You should give him your number and say he should contact you some time if he is interested in talking more. That should give the indication that he should ask you out.
