Guys, Best way to ask a guy out?

I’m a senior in high school…[18F] (yes I know I should know by now) but unfortunately I don’t. I came out of a long distance relationship about a year ago so I guess in a way I never really got to experience the traditional way of getting with someone yk. So I’m here to ask all the guys on here the best way to ask a guy out. There’s a guy in my math class and he seems really sweet, and I don’t know I just really want to ask him out but I’ve never really done stuff like that. What’s the best way to ask a guy out? I don’t want to go overboard, should I just like slip a note into his bag or something? (yeah social anxiety kills) or is that weird? I don't know

Ask him out to lunch, mention a place you have never eaten at but always wanted to try. When you do ask, dress to impress and look your best. :)
