What makes a guy not wanting to anything with his ex but at the same time upset when she decides to sleep with other man?

He got rejected years back and is now single. He doesn't want anything to do with her. But reached a mental breakdown when she decides to hookup. To this day he recalls who she slept with.

Everyone has their point of no return with relationships. You either learn to respect them in order to keep them or you break them in which you shouldn't be surprised when the other no longer wants contact.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that he somehow knows who she is sleeping with and that she is still in contact with him.
