For a first date, coffee/tea and a walk is perfect. It's not loud, so you can hear each other, it's not expensive so there's no feeling of obligation for a date paying, and you can gtfo easily if there's no chemistry.
If you've already gotten to know each other, then it just comes down to interests.
I personally would choose bowling. It is fun, and I think playing a game like that could help with the social activity of the date. It’d also be good to know how good of a sport they are, and I don’t want to date a poor sport or someone over competitive.
Daytime date and water park. Night at bowling or bar. Busy date makes talking and interacting easier rather than staring over a dinner.

I selected coffee but either that or bowling. You can be relaxed at both. Also, if you don't know how to bowl you can ask him to teach you which will be a bonding moment.
Do either bowling or a bar. It forces you two to interact with each other for more fun and allow you two to get to know each other better.
Suggest a gay bar just for the look on his face. I don't take frugs except for heroin so I know what you mean about vodka. Of the suggestions above I'd pick the restaurant but make it in Paris
Personally if you don't know him very well I'd just go for a coffee and feel the vibe. You can do something more involved on future dates
