What does it mean when a guy asks you out for a 2nd date or when a guy says let's do this again?

When guy asks you out twice or hints at it then he likely has serious interest in "something" about you.

Simple. He likes you. He enjoyed his first date with you and hopes you did, too. He wants to go on a second date to get to know you better.

Maybe he hopes to get into a relationship with you. And to do that, you have to go on dates until you grow to like and trust each other enough to become exclusive as in boyfriend/girlfriend.

That's what I did with every one of my girlfriends.

It means he would like to see you again if he asks you out for a 2nd date. But if he just says “let’s do this again”, then he might just be saying it to be polite. If he doesn’t plan a second date and only says let’s do this again, I wouldn’t take it seriously as some people say it without meaning it.
