How to check if a person is emotionally matured?

I am not into those dating games I see and hear on the internet. I find them wastage of time.

Courtney Ryan said that an emotionally immature person would find them as a challenge and exciting, but not someone who is matured emotionally.

So how do I know if someone is emotionally matured or not?

The only way I know to find out the emotional maturity of another is to engage them, without fear, for 6 months to a year. There is no knowing until frustration arises and this usually requires same proximity familiarity and time.

One should shy away from initial gut instinct and realize this is their best behavior. If emotional instability is slightly obvious on the front end, then you have a ticking time bomb

Have a battle of wits but make sure they’re armed a lot of people come unarmed.


Most people will just bash you and call you names instead of giving you a valid reason why you’re wrong.


Having an argument with someone who is mature enough to understand what’s going on will give you valid reasons why you’re wrong and also back it up with facts instead of name calling like a child.

people who know when and how to settle, have reached a certain level of self-understanding, are aware of their thoughts and behaviour, and know how to best handle tough situations and rough times. it's a stage, and bottom line, people who are emotionally mature went through a lot. you could spot them in no time if you know how to read between the lines, because it shows in every action.

I dont base maturity on age but on reactions. I look at how they react to different situations and it tells me all I need to know about them. One of the most seemingly mature men showed his true colors when he thought he was about to become a father. Straight Immature trash

When they respect your opinion even if they disagree with you. When they're able to take a "no" for answer. When they give you space, when they're not expecting you to be available for them 24/7. Also when they're not expecting you to "complete" them.

They can communicate. They are okay going X amount of time without hearing affirmation from you and they are mature enough to define X with you. They trust you. They don't retreat from conflict and can communicate through it. You can have disagreements and the core of your relationship isn't altered. You can hurt each other and forgive and rebound.

next time you hang out with someone pay attention to their facial expressions and their bond language as well as the tone of their voice. you will start to notice small things like what upset them and how they deal with it.
