I have never tried this before but I heard it’s common for people to contact old dates/flirts if they are not engaged in a serious relationship already. But then again is that giving too much power to the other party or does it show that you can take initiative? I heard it’s better if van people pursue you rather than the other way around. Kind of the approach I’m more lenient towards. What do u think?

Yeah, what's the worse that can happen if there's nothing to lose to begin with... Unless this was the crazy one that slipped through the cracks... that you have to go back out and reach for. Yeah sure, what's the odds of it being a bad move on a Dating App...
Whether or not to message an old Bumble date after a few months really depends on your own personal preferences and the nature of the relationship you had with that person.
If you had a good connection with that person and simply lost touch, there's no harm in sending a message to check in and see how they're doing. However, if the date didn't go well or there was no chemistry, it might not be worth reaching out.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether you want to take the initiative to reach out or wait for the other person to pursue you. There's no right or wrong approach. Some people prefer to take charge and pursue what they want, while others prefer to wait for someone else to initiate contact. It's all about what makes you feel comfortable and confident in your dating life.
I don’t think it’s a bad idea. Don’t really have anything to lose.
