I want to make it clear to this guy why I’m breaking up with him but I want to use my words carefully. I started off feeling like I could be myself because of our long friendship and because I thought he appreciated me for me. I thought that’s why we got along so well in the first place, that maybe we were had good chemistry. Dating him has been a different experience. I feel like he liked the chase more than actually having me. I feel like when I try to let my guard down with him I notice a downward turn in how things are going. But when I put my guard back up some or pull away he seems different. It’s hard to explain because it’s subtle and that’s why I say I want to pick my words carefully. I want to find the right words to explain to him that I genuinely liked him but that in my eyes, the way things are seem to be as good as it’s going to get. If I can’t feel free to let my guard down with him I don’t see a point in continuing
