You're not going to make him regret his actions. He's a user. You're there for him, not the other way around. He'll have forgotten you by the end of the month unless he thinks he can get you back to do it all over again, but you're a commodity at best and there are plenty of other suckers out there after you. Give up on the delusion of closure and move on with your life and you'll be a lot happier spending that time trying to find someone who actually DOES deserve you rather than being petty towards the trash you're leaving behind.
The same way you break up with any other guy. The fact that you're so concerned with making him "possibly regret his actions" is asinine. You can't change how he feels or how he thinks. The entire reason you're in this debacle to begin with is because you thought you could, but he has already proven you wrong. Just cut ties and go your way. If you aren't his priority, it's possible that you breaking up with him won't affect him at all. In fact, you breaking up with him could free him up to do other things he couldn't do while he was with you. You need to be ok with this. You need to accept this. Stop making it about him. That's the kind of thinking that got you into this mess.
