I'm in a relationship over 5 years and I finally realize he's using me. I know he has feelings and cares about me but I'm not his priority.

He likes having me around and would rather use me than let me go. What's the best way to break up with a guy like this to make him possibly regret his actions? Or possibly want me back after some time? Basically which waY a girl breaks up with a guy damages him the most? Like makes him crazy.

Explain to him it's not working out, you can't carry him anymore, the economy is horrible and it's costing you money you don't have, and you could end up on the street, which with the cost of living going through the roof, that probably wouldn't be lying.

The same way you break up with any other guy. The fact that you're so concerned with making him "possibly regret his actions" is asinine. You can't change how he feels or how he thinks. The entire reason you're in this debacle to begin with is because you thought you could, but he has already proven you wrong. Just cut ties and go your way. If you aren't his priority, it's possible that you breaking up with him won't affect him at all. In fact, you breaking up with him could free him up to do other things he couldn't do while he was with you. You need to be ok with this. You need to accept this. Stop making it about him.
