Many possible explanations:

Maybe they think you are a show off narssissist because you can look like an alpha male which is a turn off trait.

Maybe they feel scared by you as really big muscles show very high testosterone that is usually linked to agressivness.

Or that they will never be fit enough for you as fit people usually date fit people.

Would like to add that the rock is very musclely and is my biggest celebrity crush. A turn off for some and a turn on for others.

From what I've heard them say which often chanves hour to hour, they like muscles but not bodybuilder type. I think most just assume that those types are meatheads and incapable of much else. Which to be fair, is probably close to accurate
