I don't want to date so i never pay attention to it.

But back when i did i had to be cautious because i had to be sure they weren't straight before approaching

I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean you approach them as opposed to waiting for them to approach you?

Oh, okay! :) I wouldn't say "always" but most of the time yes. You have nothing to lose. If that person is so mean to get mad at you for approaching them or be rude or reject you outright, they're not someone you need to be with. Perhaps they don't become a romantic partner but you will likely gain a friend and definitely they will be flattered.

Don't wait... that just wastes life and is sad. Approach them.
