I actually laughed so hard when I read this that wine went into my nose. I don't know why people would assume that, unless your girlfriend is exceptionally beautiful, and looks like she's high maintenence. Just be there for her! Be proud to be with her. Show her your love. Screw the non believers. Women aren't quite as superficial as men. We tend to judge men and love them for the people they are. But of course, there are always the gold diggers out there.
