It could be manipulative, or he just misses you and really does want to hang out as friends. You really won't know unless you do it and see how is around you.
If he starts trying to convince you to come back or tries to kiss you, you'll know which one it is

That’s the thing, after inviting me to come over as “Friends” he started sliding in things like “I just want to kiss you, hold you, talk to you, smoke a blunt.” Then said he was just talking out loud. He knows I can be vulnerable and the moment I start smoking, I’m gonna talk more, be more open and that will lead to other things and next thing you know we’re back to together which is why I think he’s being manipulative. We didn’t end in bad terms unjust feel like at this point we both want different things out of life. I haven’t moved on and started dating anyone else, it’s only been a few weeks but I just want to have a clearer mind and focus on things outside of just being with him.
