Do guys badmouth their exes to their friends?

If you break up with a guy is it pretty safe to assume that he will talk bad about you to his friends? If you are also friends (but not as close) to some of them are they still going to side with him even if they know you're not a bad person?

My ex-girlfriend of 18 months broke up with me via text message during exams. I honestly badmouth her every chance I get. I got broken up with yesterday properly with another girl of 3 months (so not too serious) and I have already told people who ask about her that we just wanted different things.

I think it depends how much respect the guy has for you after the relationship is over. So in a way you can influence how he'll talk about you quite a lot.

I assume it goes the same way for girls? Do you ever badmouth your exes?

I don't talk badly about my ex. She broke up with me awhile ago but if anyone talks badly about her I still stick up for her even when she isn't around. I really don't think I can talk badly about her I don't have anything to say. I still say she deserves the world.

I pretty good friends with a lot of my exes so I don't think they would do that to me.

I have one ex though, and I know he talks bout me to his friends and calls me a range of colorful names. But normally exes don't do that, I guess it depends on the type of person he is.

As for some of the friends, if they are your friends then they shouldnt do. But again, it depends on the type of people they are. Especially if they tend to be quite unpredictable.

If your ex was an immature ass h o l e then I think he would. My ex did and he would never shut up -. - but if he wasn't then I think he wouldn't even bother talking crap about you to his boys or he might even stand up for you if you were being insulted (:

I don't know about any other guy, but I don't talk bad about my exes unless they did something really messed up for us to break up. In fact, I stand up for them if someone talks smack. I am still good friends with most of my exes.

If the person is mature they should not but if they are immature then you should assume that
