Guys, do you ever just try to catch a woman’s eye, staring and smiling etc, just because she might like you?

I get stares and smiles, repeatedly from the same guys, but I’ve been burnt so many times I’m starting to doubt any of those guys really mean it.

I’m beginning to think they’re all playing games, am I totally wrong to think this or not?

Girls are known for their hints. And I've had very obvious cues, as in "I'm available, come approach me!".

So, I think you have to let them approach. The genuine will have the confidence and will to do. Also, I think their conversations will show.
I used to play eye games / flirting with girls I just was having fun with. 1-2 times and I think you can start to know if he's just playing.

I really even wonder how girls don't realize we are playing when we leave immediately after (winning the challenge = ego boost).

Thing is most guys want approval from all cute girls. He'll keep pursuing her, the moment she gives in he leaves her and goes to the next.

So I think one point you can start doing: Give a smile of "I'm merely smiling back out of courtesy, please stop this nonsense". More than just play hard to get.
If he is playing, he'll completely back off.
If serious, he may continue but with respecting boundaries.

Most of the time I'm not attracted and trying not to actually. Or I'm daydreaming and not interested even if she's hot 👁️👀 and I am straight. And finally if she is hot, I doubt I'm looking anyways because, I dont think she's in my league or maybe I'm too judging her looks or sizing her up and thinking hmm and then totally not my type 🤮🤢 in my head 🗣️ 🧠

So to some extent a guy is “trained to be rejected” so that when they DO get a girl’s actual attention what we see is a sort of Shrek/onion problem…. Why?


Because they’re anticipating that within the first — I don't know, 30-90 days? — you’re going to come to your senses and walk away from him for something he’s said or done. So he self-sabotages by doing one or two sweet things to get your attention then a really asinine thing (like ghosting then coming back) until they’re “sure” you won’t walk away.


Personally, I think it’s a sign of immaturity, particularly in older men who should know better, so I don’t tolerate it. (With younger guys it’s a little more forgivable because many legitimately haven’t had a successful connection with a girl yet and they’re feeling vulnerable.)
