When a guy asks you to come to his place and chill?

Does it mean something like "Netflix and chill"? Or could it be just a shy or more comfortable way of asking out?

"Hey, wanna come and hang out?"

"Hi you, come and chill with me"

What do you think this sounds like? How would you use these and react to these?

It depends on the guy, the relationship/friendship with the guy, plans etc. I mean, he might ask me to chill with him at his house, and for all I know he could have asked several other people the same thing and is just planning a film night or similar.

I don't automatically think "Oh he wants to get with me." when a guy asks me to chill around his place. But certain situations would make me think otherwise, such as if we'd gone on a date and it was the end of the night, or the language he was using etc.

I've known him for longer but we have started to talk more now and I have once been at his place before, and he had his friends there also so he didn't make any attempt to that. He is talking quite a lot about chilling, because he is a quite chill person. But I think this sounds a bit weird to ask when we haven't really went on real dates ever. But I like him and I don't automatically think it would be he wants to get in my pants, but I just don't want to seem stupid either. He is kinda shy to make moves but othervise he is very open to me.
