Nope. My last ex was a big ole Lefty and I’m a fairly Conservative guy. It was ridiculous. She began to police my language and would confront me if I said anything whatsoever that could possibly be perceived as misogynistic (even something as simple as calling someone a “pussy” was a big, big feminist rant) and when Trump got elected she shit a brick. She literally went down to a protest that same day.

None of this was that apparent when we were dating. We moved in together and that’s when I REALLY got to know her. And it was awful. Absolutely awful.

*her. I literally came down with SHINGLES when we were together and I was in my 30s. My doctor told me that stress can cause it. It was awful. I had this gross rash on the side of my back, and it felt like someone was kicking me in my side all day long.

All because of stress. I also was passing blood in my stool at one point. She didn’t even pick me up from the hospital when I had a colonoscopy and was on anesthesia. I lived with this woman. I had to call up an old buddy I hadn’t talked to in a few months and thankfully he helped me out.

It’s a lot of fun dating a Liberal woman. And the sex? Worst I’ve ever had in my life. And I’m not even saying that to be mean. LOL.

I tend not to let that stuff get in the way to the point where it would potentially ruin a good thing.

Adding even more limitations to your dating requirement list could mean you spend the rest of your life alone.

Depends. Short term / casual dating - sure. just avoid contentious topics. Long term its probably a bad idea

Would depend on what we differ in. Ideally, relationships feature compromise and mutual respect. Having differences doesn't necessarily negate a relationship as long as we're both willing to put in the work. No one ever agrees on everything.

I don't even talk about politics because I'm not political and religion is important. I have medical beliefs since the pandemic and I would need a partner who aligns with those beliefs for a relationship
