do you believe in opposites attract?
I'd believe in it, I want someone total opposite to date, only we can get along if he has manners and enough EQ. I'm introvert attracted to extroverts, I like my space and peace of mind but I like more someone who pulls me to explorations, I love sweets and spicy food but I'd like someone who love other types of food and would share his likes with me as I try to understand them, I like simple clothes, accessories and makeup but I'd love someone who's like a peacock and shines just by looking at him in my eyes, I'm not a sports person but if my partner is it would motive me to keep up with his pace, I collect my money only to spend it on small luxuries that are worth it at once but if my partner is a money's spender or even more frugal than me it would be the good whichever it's, I love books but I'd love someone who's more into TV shows, news and trends to exchange informations and interests, I'm more into spiritual bond than physical one but if we get married and my partner reveals being sexually hungry I'd try cope with him, I don't like using the emotional card in arguments but facts so it would annoy me if he isn't more of a rational and logical person than a dreamer (Funny thing, I'm Pisces and I'm supposed to be the one with head over clouds but I don't), I'm an empathetic person but if I get too annoyed I'd put myself first than tolerate what irritates me so he better knows his bounds than cross the line, basically "No would still be no if you don't give me time to consider carefully whether to give in"

+1 yNot everything can be the opposite. They should still share good traits.
I'm introverted and I wouldn't mind dating someone who is extroverted.

When you have that opposite attract thing going, the sexual tension can get pretty heavy and its amazing fun. But relationship wise it can turn ugly fast, so it all depends on the the other person.

I feel like most of my friends date guys who have completely different interests and have different personalities. I don’t think they click, just my opinion

1.7K opinions shared on Dating topic. I just date whoever I feel mutually attracted with. Didn’t really think if we’re opposites or similar.
10 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. I don't believe that opposites attract. When two people are together they must have some things in common. Otherwise they're most likely to break up.
So no, I wouldn't date someone who was the totally opposite of me.
20 Reply12.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. Opposite in what way? I'm not religious and don't date believers. I don't smoke and wouldn't date someone who did.

I think morals have to be similar but I was thinking more personality and interests
+1 yI actually would only date a person who is balanced. If they are Same as me, won't date.. if they are total opposite won't date.

+1 yA true opposite would be someone who grates my nerves (as I would them, naturally). No. I wouldn’t. It wouldn’t be healthy or happy.
20 ReplyNever again. Don't think they attract at all. You need something to bounce off something to communicate about, if you have different views constantly conversation would be non existent or just shit.
30 ReplyOpposites attract when talking about magnets and school-level jokes about crushes. I'd go for someone similar to me for dating in every possible scenario.

+1 yNah you have to share and be compatible, tried it before and it just creates a running area where you cannot talk about stuff etc,
20 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Opposites attract is a myth, you need to have common goals or the relationship would not last.
10 ReplyNo.
"Opposite attracts" is a myth. Scientific research is very clear about that. People are attracted to people with similar values. In the scientific community, all serious debates about that have stopped decades ago.
40 Replyyes, as long as the important values and morals don't conflict

+1 yWell I enjoyed being a very clean man and if I dated a woman who was my opposite that means she be a dirty pig who hates cleaning up after herself and I can't picture myself dating someone like that.
10 Reply 8K opinions shared on Dating topic. I did this once. She was the opposite of all the girls i ever dated. It was fun at first because we did a lot of different thing s but after a while I was tired of it.

Yes. If you’re a good person but you would date an opposite then you’re not a good person
+1 yWhat exactly do you mean by opposites. There has to be some shared interests or at least a willingness by both to try the others interests. But I think anybody can be attracted to anyone. Might lead to love, might not.

+1 yNot really. I don't want someone exactly like me but opposite would be too much work.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yDepends what you meant about opposites.
If you meant like something like liberals vs conservatives. Nope I would not.
But if you meant something like indoor vs outdoor. I wouldn't mind.
