What is a good age gap in dating?

I am 17 and i am engaged to a 24 years old guy is that a good age gap or is that too much i mean i will be turning 18 soon I don't think it is bad but some people think it is weird and has asked me why don't you get married to a guy your age and i usually get embarrassed and tbh I don't know why, just wanted to see and find out other peoples opinions on this

It's fine. I'd say don't let other people's opinion's SWAY you/influence you like that. There's already too much of that stuff going on in the world! YOU know yourself more than anybody else here. YOU know you and your partner best! Do NOT let people like I said INFLUENCE you with this! I had an ex before. He was married to someone SIX and a HALF years younger than him. That didn't bother them and they went on to have a beautiful baby back in 2007. Think about that! If they let other people influence them or they CARED too much about it, they would break up becuase of OTHER people's stupid opinions! Then their little Carlo wouldn't have even existed. If you don't watch out, that is how much INFLUENCE and POWER you are going to be giving to people regarding your relationship which really isn't anybody's business but you twos! Now if there is ABUSE, maybe that is a different story and the police should be getting involved but other personal things like this? No! ... Also, that ex of mine got divorced with his ex-wife and got with me (8 and a half years difference with him being the older one).

It is really up to you though. If you think it's too much and they have too much dominance or life experience over you? Then you decide, but if you're comfortable with it? Then you decide that too! That's the beauty about life, at least in terms of this stuff. You get to decide what is good and what isn't for your life!

It is absolutely fine. Anyone thinking otherwise should realise that as a percentage, it might seem high. In 20 years time it will be a much lower percentage.

Stick with it. Not anyone else's business.

The age gap is fine, people giving you shit is not because of the gap, but because of the your age.

First off, different countries have different ages of who can marry. Long ago, when people were wed at like 14, you got to remember, they were really only expected to live till like 40 or so.

But I'm assuming you aren't from US right? Unless one or two states have younger age limit that I'm unaware of

Very few 17 year olds are able to make life long decisions. You might be able to, but it would be rare.  Do you know what you want your life to be like when you are 30?

It's only like 6 or 7 years that's not so bad.. My wife and I are 9 years apart. Just don't rush into marriage at your age. Wait til you finish college.
