Dating with age gaps?

to those who have dated with large like over 10 year age gaps how did it work?
does it feel natural or somewhat awkward?

I don't care so much about age as I do about maturity. This girl in her early 20's wanted to date me and her age wasn't the problem, it was the fact that she was a drunken mess all the time and was stuck in party mode all the time. I don't want to be a babysitter.

It very seldom works out. I would likely never do it again. I never like to say never. But I'd have to be really convinced it would be different this time.
