Boyfriend turned on 2FA on all his social media, should I be suspicious?

I used to have his passwords but we had big arguments about me going through his DMs so I said I would stop and never do it unless I ask him first, recently he got a new phone and I noticed as he set it up he had 2 factor authentication setup and I can't help but feel that this is deliberate to make sure I can't get into his accounts he doesn't trust me what should I say to him?

Is there a reason you’ve been going through his messages?
if he’s cheated on you before or showed another red flag that he’s hiding something, then it’s kinda understandable why you would (I mean at that point, why not just break up)

but if he hasn’t done anything wrong, then I don’t think you have the right to go through his personal messages. It’s an invasion of his privacy.

No you don’t lol. Everyone has the right to privacy and have conversations with their friends without their partner reading and listening to every word they say.
I personally have nothing to hide in my relationship. If my husband went through my messages, he wouldn’t find anything incriminating. However I wouldn’t be comfortable being with someone who felt the need to go through all my apps and messages.

You have no right to be looking through his phone (unless, of course if he cheated on you once but if he's done it before why would you be dating him still). Other than that, there is no way in hell you should be looking throigh private conversations.

They are private for a reason. My advice would be to sit down and talk with him if you're that concerned about it. Most likely, if he's loyal, he will be honest with you. And if your honest with him, he's more likely to give you a real answer.

You say nothing, he probably knows you have been SNOOPING, which is a massive no-no in a relationship.
