Is he cheating on me?

Question

I am in a LDR since 2019. Last year he broke up with me after his son went to university and he was very depressed. Then after 10 months, we got back together. But now his phone gets turned off all of a sudden every week and then he say's he is not sure about being in a relationship. Few days before he said that he talked to the woman he dated last year over the phone because she called him from another number and he thinks she is fun to be with. But he said that he wants to be with me. A few days before on Sunday, his phone was off till 3 pm and then next day when we talked, I saw him wearing a beaded blue evil eye bracelet and I searched online and it showed as a turkish evil eye couple bracelet. But he said that he got it from outside of a market. Also he seems very distracted and most of the time he is angry and complaining and he says that I always accuse him that makes him not to want to talk to me. Do you think he is cheating on me?

All those events you describe point to a relationship that he has on the side. Of course, this is not proof but the behavior would be typical of a person that is trying to hide something from you.

There is absolutely no reason to turn off a phone for a prolonged period of time on a constant basis. Also, the fact that he was talking to a girl previously and that she called him leads me to believe that there is more than he wants to admit.

Finally, the fact that he is complaining and angry about your inquiries leads me also to believe that he is afraid that you will eventually find out.

Ideally would be to make a surprise visit but that is not always feasible, depending on the distance separating you from him.

For me, there are too many facts that are suspicious and I personally would not accept to continue to be in a relationship knowing that the distance is the factor that allows him to potentially lie to you and to have a side affair.

The fact that it’s still a LDR after what 4 years to me would be the issue. How much time do you want to give a relationship that hasn’t transcended to a real life relationship in all that time? Much less with someone you feel may be cheating… Time is something you can’t get back so don’t waste too much on the wrong person/ relationship

Communication is absolutely key in a long distance relationship. It seems like he's being very secretive and not communicating. I think it might be best to just break the relationship off and leave it dead and buried where it belongs. Find someone who does want to be with you and does want to communicate. It's a real game changer

I don't know about cheating, but he sure is stringing you along. after the first break should have been done. i'd just break up for good.
