When we first ordered our meals I went to pay for my own order and he didn't offer to pay but then I found out my card wasn't accepted at the place so I awkwardly asked him to pay for my order and said I would pay him back later. He responded that I didn't need to but I said I would. However, once we sat down, our conversation flowed really well and we were both laughing a ton. We even had this moment where he was talking to me and he maintained eye contact with me for a really long time and I eventually broke eye contact because that's how long it felt and I was starting to feel awkward. Towards the end of our date I had to leave soon and he offered to walk me back but I said I needed to go somewhere else to buy some things for my mom and then he said "Okay. It was nice meeting you" and I told him to send me his Venmo and then got up and left the table before I did and we both walked in different directions. The date was on Thursday and I knew later in the day he would be busy so I didn't expect him to text me. On Friday, part of me felt he might not send his Venmo so I looked him up and sent it to him there and didn't text because I was going to be busy. On Saturday, I decide to text him to ask if he got my money and he didn't respond until Sunday night saying he received it and then he thanked me for my time and said he had fun. On Monday, I respond that it was nice meeting him as well. Some more detail, on his profile, he has it written "Figuring out my dating goals, potentially aro/ace spectrum".
