My mom can be rather inappropriate but that's with literally everyone so no different with him. He used to think it was awkward around her because my mom accidentally saw a picture of my boyfriend in his underwear on my phone once but she never said anything about it to him. But if we're ever visiting, my mom will ask something about sex and if we don't while we're there, she'll ask if something's wrong lol.

Yes, they understand each other well and neither of them is reacting bad, or doesn't like the other. I always heard these horrorstories about parents in law and on both sides we couldnt be farther away from this.

I mean than it depends what "out of line" means. And yeah my dad was more protective of me but I think a lot of parents are about their child. If it goes too far in your opinion talk with your girlfriend.
