They stopped communicating their needs and what they wanted to do. At the end of the song you find out that both husband & wife were cheating on each other with each other. Always communicate your desires, ideas, dreams & Opinions. In life you’re going to find yourself slip into some routines but pull yourself out to leave a relationship. Be present communicate and always keep the fun that keeps the bond stronger then ever.

don't mean to be rude but if you need advice on how to keep the spark at 1 year, I feel that relationship will not last long.

I could understand 5 or 10 years in but 1? the spark should be well alive and sparking everywhere still. these are the years where you don't need to try so hard if there's a spark there to begin with.
