There are a few points in these theories that I can agree with, borrowed from evolutional psychology. For example that when everyone is free to have casual sex and women use the freedom to have many partners, then few men will have most of the sex. Monogamy has always benefitted the average dude who can then also get exactly one woman.
There is also some truth in the beta strategy of using resources to attract a woman.

And yet, this is grossly oversimplified and ultimately misleading if made into an ideology.

I have met many women who have no interest in a large number of hot partners. They are instead looking for commitment and emotional stabilily and - shall we say it: love. This fact of human nature is fatal to the whole concept.

The average man does not have to buy a woman with "beta bucks". He can have a huge advantage if he offers long-term love. For her to want to live with him he has to bring in all his personality, be entertaining, supportive, or at times challenging.

Attributes that make a man a good partner for a woman, such as ambition or communication skills, often allow him to have good income as well. In love, as in war, you need to use every advantage and financial stability can be one. I still refuse the cynical idea that money is all the woman wants from a man of moderate hotness.

Within the model I would be a redpiller, that's clear, but I'm not subscribing to the model as it misses important aspects of reality. Also, as a person who liked science fiction already before all this came up, I'm shocked how the Matrix movie has been abused for this.

Selfishly, if they want to remove themselves from the competition for the attention of decent and great women I am fine with it.

@ZombieInLove I know the difference. Red Pillers often have attitudes that make them undesirable to women. To me, that takes them out of the competition.
